With nail polish, I have slowly been stepping out of my comfort zone and trying out shades that aren't my go-to shades of reds, pinks or purples. I had received Ski Teal We Drop awhile ago and finally tried it out this month in lieu of the winter season. It is a teal, blue color that is quite wearable since it is a darker shade and has more blue than green in it. As always, OPI's nail polishes go on smoothly and easily with good staying power. Two coats of this color will give you full opacity.

Would You Rather Beauty Tag
1) Would
you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or
lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
I’d have to go
with my palettes and eyeshadows. I don’t use eyeshadow all that much. Love my
eyeliner though!
2) Would
you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
Never be able to
cut it again.
3) Would
you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
Pink.
4) If
you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Clothes!
5) Would
you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Eyeliner as
lipstick. It would be quite hard applying lipstick as eyeliner and my lipstick
colors tend to be in the red and pink ranges.
6) Would
you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Definitely Sephora! So many
choices!
7) Would
you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your
life?
One lip color.
Even though I don’t wear eyeshadow all that much, I can’t imagine only using
one eyeshadow color for the rest of my life.
8) Would
you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
This is a
terrible question for me. I am deathly afraid of the cold, yet I get very hot
easily too. I guess I’d rather sweat to death than freeze to death, so winter
clothes it is.
9) Would
you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Bright nails!
10) Would
you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
Favorite lip
product. The first favorite eye product that comes to mind is the MUFE Aqua
Liners and I definitely cannot give those up!
11) Would
you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
While I’d like
to wear my hair in a messy bun, that is something I’ve never been able to do
with my hair so ponytail it is.
12) Would
you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
Never use
lipgloss. Not really a fan of lipgloss anyway.
13) Would
you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in
everyday?
Sharpie them in
everyday? I can’t imagine having no eyebrows at all.
14) Would
you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
Tough one but I
would go with nail polish because I sure need my concealers!
What would you guys rather do for these questions? :)

The One That Got Away by OPI (Katy Perry Collection)
With the change in season from summer to fall, it is time for the darker nail polish colors to come out. The One That Got Away by OPI, which is part of the Katy Perry Collection that came out in 2011, is a good fall or winter color that I have been wearing this past week. It has specks of microglitter in it that makes it holiday friendly as well if you want more than just plain nails but still want to be subtle. For me, it is a little harder to get completely evenly coated nails with this color, so I had to use three coats which if I look closely I can still see that they are not completely opaque. However, it isn't too obvious so it's not a big issue for me.

September 2014 Birchbox Unboxing!
Long time no post!
I have not been doing a good job at posting this month. The school season has started again and all I want to do in my free time is sleep. I am back today with another Birchbox post where you can take a look at what I got this month. September is Birchbox's anniversary month and so they jazzed up the boxes this month with designs. There are supposed to be three different designs too. The box is cute so I'll be keeping this one to store things in.

L'oreal Nail Polish in Check Me Out (103)
Last post I talked about the L'oreal Nail Polish "Penthouse Pink" (#104) and today I will feature "Check Me Out" (#103). It is a very vibrant fushia pink color and a color I love wearing in the summer. I have included pictures with the other nail polish mentioned just so you can see the two side by side. For more pictures exclusively on "Penthouse Pink," you can check that out here.

July 2014 Favorites
Already August and all I can say is that I am extremely sad that summer is coming to an end so soon, which means goodbye wonderful sunshine, shorts, sandals and longer days. This month, I don't have that many favorites because I have been pretty much using the same things that I have mentioned in last month's favorites, such as the Victoria's Secret Bombshell perfume, Clinique Redness Solutions Mineral Pressed Powder, and the Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream.
- Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose w/ SPF 15 -- While I don't like the original Sugar lip product due to its taste, I do actually enjoy this one. I have a deluxe sample size of this one. I like the tint of color that it gives your lip, making it look very natural and like a "my lips but better color." It is also very moisturizing which is just what my very dry lips need.
- Clinique Superpowder Double Face Makeup (01 Matte Ivory) -- I had been gravitating towards this powder by itself recently on those days I go out and want to still look put together but without putting in that much effort. This did the trick for me! I would hide the more persistent, red blemishes with concealer and then pat this powder on with a sponge all over the face, letting it act as a powder foundation. It does a great job at evening out my skin tone and is very matte. I wore this on several extremely hot, sweaty days and it held up really well! I purchased this during my hunt for new foundations and powders that do not break me out and this has passed the test so far.
- China Glaze Nail Polish (Flip Flop Fantasy) -- I was never a bright polish person but this has become a summer favorite of mine. I wore this color on my toes so many times last year and I finally started using it again last month. I should have started as soon as summer started! Gorgeous, bright, coral pink color, need I say more?!
- L'oreal Nail Polish (The True Diamond) -- I have been using this polish quite frequently for my accent nails, practically every time I do my nails. It adds a nice silvery sheen to your polish, bringing some attention to the nails but not too much. I have mentioned in some posts before which you can check out to see how it looks on the nails (here and here).

First Impression: NYX Butter Lipstick in Little Susie (BLS12)
Today, I am doing a first impression on the NYX butter lipstick. I really like the Revlon lip butters so when I heard that NYX came out with butter lipsticks too awhile ago, I had been wanting to try them too. I decided to just get one of them and grabbed it in the color, Little Susie, which is a bright, yet deep pink that looked like it would be quite pigmented. It normally retails for $5.99 at Ulta, but I got this during a 40% sale.

The Summer Tag
I found this tag on makeupsavvy.co.uk’s blog and thought
this would be fun to do since it is the summer right now, my favorite season!
1.
What’s your favorite thing about summer?
Definitely the weather. I love the
sunshine, warmth and longer days. It just makes me happier in general. :)
2.
Do you have a favorite summer drink?
I don’t have a specific, favorite drink in
the summer. Anything that’s cold would be good for me, such as iced coffee
drinks, iced tea, cold water.
3.
Is there a location you like to go to each
summer?
Summer is never complete without going to
the beach for sure or the park! I love the beach though, being able to laze about under the
warm sun and trying to get a tan, while relaxing and listening to the sounds of
happy chatter and the splashing water.
4.
Favorite makeup look for summer?
I don’t really change my makeup for the
summer. I’m more or the less the same year round. If it will be a long day,
then I may go with a lip stain instead of a lip balm or lipstick. Also, I may
wear brighter lip colors in the summer but that’s pretty much it.
5.
Dresses or skirts?
I prefer dresses. I have a shorter torso
with not much of a waist, so it’s a little harder to find a skirt and top to
work for me. It’s easier to just wear a dress.
6.
Sandals or ballet pumps?
Sandals! I cannot walk around in pumps for
a long period of time so sandals all the way! Cute and more comfy.
7.
Do you prefer to wear your hair up or down for
summer?
I always wear my hair down except for
certain occasions like if I go to the gym. If it’s very hot or I need to do
something where my hair being down is just in the way, then I will put it up.
8.
Deep smokey eyes or bold lips?
I hardly ever wear smokey eyes, only once
in a blue moon for a night out, so I would go with bold lips instead. Summer is
when I wear brighter lip colors anyway.
9.
Favorite perfume for summer?
My favorite perfume is the Victoria’s
Secret Bombshell perfume so I would definitely be wearing that during the
summer!
10.
Last but not least, favorite music for summer?
My taste in music doesn’t really change
throughout the year. Whatever’s currently trending is what I’m usually
listening to. Some days I feel more upbeat and would want to play more
danceable music with a really good beat. It really depends on my mood overall.
I hope you enjoyed this post. What are some of your answers to these questions or what do you like about the summer if you do? Hope you're having a great summer so far!

Splash of Grenadine by Essie
Hi everyone!
Bringing you another nail polish post today featuring one of my favorite polishes, Splash of Grenadine by Essie. It is a pretty magenta pink color that isn't actually magenta, as in a fushia pink, but rather a pinkish-purple color. It is a beautiful color for the spring and summer. It is a soft color that still manages to stand out. It applies easily and two coats will give you full opacity. For the accent nail, I used a L'oreal Magic Topcoat, the True Diamond, which you can see in another blog post I did where I mentioned it too.

Beauty Blogger Questionnaire - Get to Know Me More
Beauty
Blogger Questionnaire
1. Is your hair
naturally curly or straight?
Straight
2. What is your
natural hair colour?
Dark
brown/black
3. Do you dye
it yourself or go to a salon?
I have never
dyed my hair. I’ve wanted to for awhile when I was a little younger, but I
decided that since I naturally have quite a lot of white hairs, I’ll dye my
hair when I really need to in the future.
5. Do you wear
the same style every day or change it?
I pretty much
wear my hair down all the time.
6. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go
to a salon?
I do mine own.
Believe it or not, I don’t really like going to a salon.
6. How often to
you change your nail polish?
If I have
polish on, then maybe two weeks after. I get pretty lazy sometimes. Most of the
times, I’m not actually wearing polish.
7. Do you polish your toes in the
winter or just in the summer?
Only in the
summer, once in awhile in the winter depending. If my toes won’t be seen, then
I won’t be doing them! haha
8. How long
does it take to put on your makeup?
If I do a full
face, including eyes and such, then I’d say around half an hour.
9. What do you
do first, face or eyes?
Face. No
specific reason, I just do.
10. Do you
"collect" makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
Both. I am
guilty of purchasing things I don’t really need, such as more lip products,
just because. Anyone else?

Wet n Wild Megalicks Balm Stain in Lady and the Vamp (124)
Back with a lip product review for you guys!
I picked up this Wet n wild Megalicks Balm Stain in Lady and the Vamp (#124) at Rite Aid during a sale when it was BOGOFREE because with the deal, it was a good time to try something new. The other product I picked up was the Megalast Lipstick in Cherry Bomb. I will be doing a review on that later on so watch out for that! Back to the balm stain. This retails for $2.99 at Rite Aid and contains 0.10 oz of product. It is in the crayon, twist-up form, that is quite popular these days.

Hello June!
I finally got around to doing my nails again! It's been so long. I wanted to share with you one of my favorite creme pinks, perfect for the spring and especially for the summer. This is OPI's Strawberry Margarita. Two coats will give you full opacity and it applies very easily. For my accent nail, I used L'oreal's Magic Topcoat in 'The True Diamond.' It's a beautiful white or silver microglitter polish with a silvery sheen that applies very easily too.

I Love Drugstore Makeup Tag
Hello everyone!
I have seen YouTubers and some bloggers do this tag and thought I would do this too so you guys could get to know me a little better, in terms of my thoughts regarding certain drugstore makeup products! This will be my first tag and a little something that is different from what I usually post.
1. What is your
favorite drugstore makeup brand overall?
Well, I’m kind of
split between a couple, but I guess I would have to go with Revlon considering I have a few more products from them than the others.
2. What are your
favorite face, cheek and lip products?
For the face, I would have to go
with Rimmel London’s Stay Matte pressed powder right now. It really does set
your foundation and mattify the face. It doesn’t look cakey and provides good
coverage.
For the cheek, I’m not a big blush
person but I would go with Wet n Wild’s Coloricon Blusher in Heather Silk. It
is very pigmented that you only need a light dusting of it and it’s just a
nice, natural looking pink color.
My favorite lip products would have
to be the Revlon Lip Butters and the L’oreal Caresse Wet Shine Lip Stains.
